LAAS: Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

Details on the LA Auto show are emerging from the Media and one vehicle caught my attention a scond time and for the wrong reason is the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

Last time I had mentioned how strange the convertible is and I’ve spoken to friends how dangerous the idea can be since these are SUV’s.
Now I do see that beauty is upon ones eye and for me this crossover does not work.

Now my new comlaint about the vehicle is the strange “jawless” design on the bumper. I still have yet to see the other 2011 model before I jump to any full on conclusion but this design definitely does not work for me.

Edit: on a side note. If somone randomly gave this vehicle to me along with money to modify it. I’d lower it, thow new wide wheels (and possible spaced out), throw fender flares and make it look as close to a car as possible.

LAAS: Porsche continues to go retro

…but how far can one go before you can say they’ve gone too far.

Heres a Porsche convertible that has a retroish feel like the GT2…but whats up with the wheels? They look like Porsche decided to step back too far into the ages. 70′s 911.

I’m serious people.

LAAS: What to expect from Honda

Honda Fit EV

Honda Fit Hybrid was spotted earlier in the year. Was this the bridge to the spawning of the Fit EV?

well…Scion released pictures of the new xB and they are still becoming more strange. The bumpers on the car are the biggest turn off for me, the car is very much a rounded box, why add agression to it?

Why cant they simply bring the Japanese version of it and fight the Cube?

And pictures of the iQ is officially out. I wish I had snapped this before release since it kept driving around my house……although I do admit the concept version looked way better.

And then the new tC is no surprise because it’s been released to buy about a month ago. Not a fan of it honestly. It looks less like a Scion and more like an average car.

LAAS: …questioning Lotus’ taste…

This is probably the most surprising thing I’ve seen for the LA Auto show and I am only reading up what is to be expected.

There is this area of questionable distaste on the new Lotus Exige. The previous models of the Exige is undoubtedly wondrous with its aggressive feel to it. But this one makes me wonder. What happened Lotus? I’ve been seeing alot of these fantastic concept cars and the car that is going to come to showrooms first looks wayyyy out of bounds.

I mean, lets break down what is wrong with this. FIRST: there is the rear wing. I sure hope this wing has a purpose because this thing looks super wrong for the Elise body and on top of that I would probably categorize this wing under ‘rice.’ SECOND: if you can find a picture of the front. The last models styling works wayyyy better than the new facial bodywork. It just simply doesnt say Exige anymore…it says i’m the Elise’s little sister.
